FSMSSA Modernizing for Better Service!

The Federated States of Micronesia Social Security Administration (FSMSSA) is taking a major step forward in improving services for our beneficiaries and the public!

FSMSSA is working to acquire a new database system—based on the Microsoft SQL platform and modeled after the one used by Palau Social Security—that will modernize how we operate across all FSM states.

What this means:

  • Faster, more reliable data sharing between HQ and branch offices
  • Easier and more flexible report generation for staff

This upgrade will strengthen FSMSSA’s ability to serve the people efficiently and securely, keeping pace with modern technology to better meet your needs.

FSMSSA to Observe United Nations Day 2025

The Federated States of Micronesia Social Security Administration (FSMSSA) joins the global community in observing United Nations Day on Friday, October 24, 2025. In recognition of this international observance, all FSMSSA offices — including the Headquarters in Pohnpei and Branch Offices in Chuuk, Kosrae, and Yap — will be closed for the day.

The United Nations Day marks the anniversary of the entry into force of the UN Charter on October 24, 1945, which established the United Nations and its mission to promote peace, human rights, and social and economic development around the world. This day serves as a reminder of the importance of international cooperation and shared responsibility in addressing global challenges.

FSMSSA takes this opportunity to honor the UN’s commitment to improving lives and promoting social welfare — values that align with FSMSSA’s own mission to ensure the social and financial security of all citizens of the Federated States of Micronesia.

The public is kindly advised to conduct any official business with FSMSSA before October 24 or after offices reopen on the following Monday. FSMSSA appreciates the understanding and cooperation of all clients and beneficiaries.

FSMSSA extends warm wishes to everyone for a safe and reflective United Nations Day.
